Kardo
Kardo Marvin Denim Jacket - Natural
Assumingly named after the late great Marvin Gaye, forever denim clad with his open western sawtooth shirt and tonally diminished jeans, he’d be buying this for sure! Anchored by a 1953 derived silhouette that boasts dual squared flapped chest pockets and a double pleated front to accommodate greater layering underneath.
Labelled in the 50s as the unofficial uniform of the American workingman, this rendition has been updated with hidden side pockets and antique brass riveted buttons at the jacket opening, cuff and back adjusters. Fashioned from a 3 by 1 denim that is woven by a non-profit organisation in support of 2000 sustainably operational textile families, it is available in two derivatives, naturally undyed and indigo dyed. Both fabrics fall beautifully when worn and possess a slubby hempish quality in the hand. The indigo especially has a mid-blue magnificence that is very reminiscent of the late 60s. This is a jacket that relishes wear and will develop a wonderful patina with time, wear with a crisp white tee and away!

Note: All indigo garments are dyed using a natural indigo, at first, indigo garments may stain other clothing, fabric or skin. Wash them separately in cold water until the residual indigo has been removed, normally after about 4 or 5 washes.
